Account closure

Four partner steps to close the account

rs9 itself does not hold an account. The partner does. Closing the partner account is a four-step in-app flow. Cool-off is a different lever; the permanent-closure flow is final. The unplayed balance rule is partner-stated and lives in the closure card.

Cool-off

Cool-off versus permanent closure

Cool-off

A temporary block on login and deposit. The window is partner-set and disclosed on the cool-off card. Reversal requires a partner-side reactivation flow.

Permanent closure

Final. The partner account is deleted after the unplayed balance rule clears. Reopening requires a fresh signup and KYC.

Four partner steps

From in-app Help to deleted account

01

Withdraw any unplayed balance

UPI / IMPS / Net Banking. The partner processes the payout through KYC-cleared paths.

02

Open help, then account, then close

The partner surfaces the closure card and the unplayed balance rule.

03

Confirm via OTP

OTP to the registered mobile. The closure is locked once confirmed.

04

Cool-off or delete

Pick cool-off (reversible) or delete (final). The unplayed balance rule applies.

Unplayed balance rule

What happens to leftover balance

The partner publishes the unplayed balance rule inside the closure card. As a reading, the rule says: unplayed bonus credit is forfeited on closure; the real-money balance is paid out through UPI after KYC. The exact treatment of edge cases (in-flight contests, unsettled bets) is partner-stated. The reader who needs the exact rule reads the partner closure card before tapping confirm.

Closure FAQ

Five questions after the walk-through

Can rs9 close my partner account?
No. rs9 does not hold the account. The partner-side flow is the authoritative path.
What is the difference between cool-off and delete?
Cool-off is reversible and partner-set on duration. Delete is final and requires a fresh signup to reopen.
What about unsettled bets?
Settle them first. The closure card pauses on unsettled positions. Walk away from the contests you have already entered before closure.
Does rs9 see the closure request?
No. The closure is partner-side only. rs9 has no visibility into the partner account state.
Where do I get help on a gambling concern?
Helplines on /responsible-use/. iCall +91-9152987821, Gamblers Anonymous India, NIMHANS.

Partner flow

Four steps on the partner to close the account

Step one: open the partner app, sign in, and open Help. Step two: select Account → Close account. Step three: confirm the closure request and complete the partner-side identity check. Step four: confirm the closure on the partner-side welcome screen. After step four, the partner account is closed; the partner flow does not allow reactivation through the same flow.

The partner flow may include a cool-off step before the closure is final. If a cool-off is offered, it is the partner-side cool-off that gives the reader a window to reverse the closure. The cool-off window is partner-published. Outside the cool-off window, the closure is final.

Unplayed balance

What happens to the unplayed wallet balance

The unplayed wallet balance is the difference between the wallet credit and the wallet debit at the moment of closure. The partner flow requires the reader to withdraw the unplayed balance before the closure is final. If the reader does not withdraw, the partner flow asks for the reader's KYC details and processes the withdrawal to the registered bank account. The withdrawal clears at the rail's headline speed for KYC-cleared accounts.

Cool-off vs permanent

The difference between a cool-off and a permanent closure

A cool-off is a temporary block. The partner flow blocks login and deposit for the cool-off window. The window is partner-published. After the window, the reader can reactivate the account through the partner-side reactivation flow. A permanent closure is final. After the closure is confirmed, the reader cannot reactivate through the partner-side flow; a new account would require a new partner-side signup, which the partner flow may block if the new signup matches the closed identity.

The two paths serve different needs. A cool-off is the right path if the reader wants a break with the option to return. A permanent closure is the right path if the reader is finished with the partner platform altogether. The partner flow exposes both paths inside the in-app Help screen; rs9 is not part of either path.
